Who says you are going nowhere?  We all have got someplace to be,  but can’t it wait?  Why can’t everything just stop for a moment and one can just sit by and watch this halt. What would it show to us?  About ourselves,  this world and everyone around. Is this what you want from life,  if not then you got someplace to be.

  • Are you Following ?

    April 4, 2015
    Uncategorized

    Are you following ?

Your heart, your nerves, your thoughts

Or just buzzing around like a fly

    Ephemeral and without purpose

    Drifting along in the breeze

Rolling around like a moss ball

Being swept around by the gales

    Or changing the tides,

    making a dent

    In this mighty universe.

    Are you moving on ?

    Or simply standing around

Waiting to be swept off your feet

    By some other grandeur

Fixed like a star you are

    With painted emotions

    Or are you ?

    Painting new horizons

    With every breath stroke

    Beginning with your will again

When you think you are broke,

    Are you listening ?

    To the sounds around

    Or simply hearing the noise

Hear hear, the little voice inside

In its faint tone it is calling you out wide

    To strike your mightiest blow

    And make a dent.

  • THE VIGILANTE

    March 3, 2015
    poems, poetry

Scourging the crime in dark alleys

    riding down sharp valleys

striking hard blows to stark realities

    indulging myself in theatricalities

know that i am not a mere dilettante

    the wrongdoers fear me,

so they call me the vigilante

    Lending voice to the underdogs

raging my anger on the hogs

cleaning up every murk that clogs

my streets, my town, my blocks

through pointed punishments I establish shanti

    the gangsters, scared of me,
    call me the vigilante

    Nothing great I do

I fight, is all I do

Injustice, crime and criminals I hate

Who needs my help, I simply anticipate

I do only good in this world so scanty

    The politicians despise me

And they call me the vigilante.

  • Anger

    February 20, 2015
    poems, poetry

    There is an anger
    Hidden Within all of us
    Only Few can Control it..
    Controlled by it are others

Driving us,  dividing us,  trifling us
    Making us imprudent and unwise
From within like a serpent thus
    Evil plans it does devise

    There is some anger
    Pushing it’s way to outside
    Through words and deeds
    When expressed,  spreading vice

Blaming us,  defaming us,  claiming us
    Playing with our emotions
    From within manipulating thus
    Creates conflicting notions

    There is little anger
    Within all of us
But if you can kill it
Or just ask it to hush

Compress it,  suppress it,  express it
    Forget it and never recall
If you can just somehow control your anger
I promise you can control it all.

  • Courage

    January 24, 2015
    Uncategorized

It takes courage to fight for one’s life.
    To tread off leading paths.
    And wander into darkness
    Rejecting much sought after lights.

It takes courage to risk it all
    To play dice with God,
    And endeavor in unknown realms.
    To meet strangers, befriending some
    And making some enemies.

It takes courage to follow your dreams
To row your boat through gushing streams
    While some labour and wait
And some just wait and scream.

It takes courage to speak up
To try and try but never give up
    While some are busy complaining
And some just fill their cup

It takes courage to stand up for right
To never go down without a fight
While some fight and lose and quit
And some lose yet fight and win

Courage it takes to kill and die
To fight for truth when all about you lie
While few reason what and why?
Some simply settle with a tie.

It takes courage to face each moment
While life gives us big challenges
    While some always repent
    Over what they did
    And some are always lost
    in what they haven’t done.

    It takes only courage
    And nothing else
    To do whatever you want
To get further than the world will grant

It takes courage to take the journey
To the destination of your dreams
While some simply see the end
    Of their journeys
    And others see
    beginnings at the end.

  • I am.

    January 8, 2015
    poems, poetry

I am not the broken star

     Which falls solitary at night.

    Nor the black sky,

    Which craves for light.

    I do not belong
    to this majestic world,

I am but a lonely bird.

I am not the falling rain

which regrets, why it fell in disdain.

I am not the lovely rose.

    With pleasure,
    which fills people’s nose.

I am but the tender wine.

    Slipping upon a shiny lipline.

I am not the gushing wind.

Nor I am the surging breeze

    I am your deepest thoughts.

    Not the drenching rain,

But I am all that draughts.

I am not a helping hand
Nor a shoulder to cry on

but I am that fainting light
    which blinks far far away
and says to ‘go on !’

I am not your last desire
    neither hope nor a fire

    I am but a speckle, a splinter
    Which shall never retire

    Burning brightly though small

    this is what I am
    and that is all.
