Recently I have been reading this book called The 50th Law of Power by 50 Cent ‘the rapper’ and Robert Greene, a classic author. It talks about fear and rising above it.

IF YOU DESIRE TO RACE
THEN RACE AGAINST TIME
OR WITH THE PAST YOU
RACE IN TO THE FUTURE
RACE AGAINST THE GUSTS,
WAVES & OCEAN’S THRUSTS
RACE AGAINST THE NIGHT,
THE DYING OF THE LIGHT
CHASE THE CRIMSON SUNSETS
RACE TO THE MOUNTAINS
AND THE END OF NOWHERE
RACE AGAINST THE SUN’S RAYS
IF AT ALL YOU WISH TO RACE
OR MOVE AT YOUR OWN PACE
GIVE UP THE RUN & CHASE
STILL YET, YOU SHALL FACE
GUSTS, LIGHT & SUN’S RAYS
SPACE WILL CHANGE SLOWLY
TIME WILL DILATE, COALESCE
LET NIGHT LEAD TO LIGHT
PAIN WILL TEACH YOU FIGHT
MOUNTAINS SHALL BEND
THE OCEAN WILL TEND
COLD WAVES UNTO YOUR FEET
IF TIRED & MUST YOU WAIT
ON THIS ROAD, START ANYTIME
IT WILL NEVER BE TOO LATE!
I am a little whirlpool,
in a violent stream
Choked on my own
silent screams.
Moving through the crowd,
forlorn, for desires
I barter my dreams
My eyes ragged,
And so, is my jeans
So I Masquerade in
shady themes
I am a dark wave
shooting space.
So anachronistic in
These times extreme
Riding light through
space & time.
My soul is splitting
right at the seam.
I have been buzzing with questions
So silent and so Impatient
So loud and so volatile
I have yet much to decide
The paths that set me free
And the holes to the void
After all we will die
Leave immortality behind
And the dreams you dreamt
Time sweeps them aside..
A serious phase is dawning on me
As I am being swept by this torrent
My mind is a little further from me
As I am fighting this current
The ones I love are drifting away
When they are gone,
I’ll lose my way
If not me, then who
Is controlling my fate
Who within me,
Is spreading this hate?
So long I surfed this wave
Now a new path I shall pave
For it is time to collect the bill
For everything I ever gave.
I am unravelling myself
In Between events
Intercepting time and space
Unaware of my own
I am revealing myself
To myself in a mirror
And I find the reflection
Mystical in myriad ways
I am unknown
While I am knowing
That understanding
Is layered in time
In between events
Of absolutely
No importance!

In between bustling crowds
Undercover of faith’s shrouds
Beneath cunningness of touts
In the sadness of smiling clowns
I come across a familiar face
In dim poverty stricken eyes
Through my beloved‘s lies
In the echoes of faint cries
Upon the starry night skies
I come across a familiar face
In dark corners and alleys
In deep gorges and valleys
In harangues of political rallies
Between the lines of dailies
I come across a familiar face
In jungles and mountains
In ever flowing fountains
In sunlight and in rains
In a dying fire’s flames
I come across a familiar face.
I’ll tell you when it all began
Just then we had skipped
From the post to the wire
From slow to fast
Communications
Over distances vast
Belligerent emotions
Expressed without
Delay, overlay
Cockamamie
Bullshit !
The destruction of language …
College was too much fun
Learning, Ah! that we did none.
Smoked the days away
Made the nights stay
And now nights shall fly
And the days shall be dry
I look up, I see a cloudy blue sky
The hint of the rains is nearby.

When you are all alone
And once in a while,
A candid thought or
A nostalgic feeling
Curves your lips up
That’s the best smile
And
When you are happy
Amidst a crackling laugh
Little pearls roll down the eye
You do both, laugh and cry
Trust me in all this madness
That’s the best form of sadness
